Purchasing a Mercedes for a high school or college student may seem absurd to some people. However, for those who are able to afford it, the purchase can turn out to be an excellent idea. Many times when a parent buys their child their first car, it's something the student ends up tolerating instead of embracing. Some parents are only looking for something that gets their child from point A to point B. The look and perception of the vehicle is the last thing on their minds. However, they could really help their children or even themselves by purchasing a Mercedes.

benzBecause of the car's high quality level, it will more than likely last longer than most other vehicles. This will allow the student to keep the car for a much longer time period, without having to worry as much about having to constantly fix it just to keep it going. College students, in particular, are already bogged down with school work, social issues, club meetings, final exams and an impending mountain of loan payments. Having an extremely reliable vehicle would make their lives much easier. On the other hand, if they had a less expensive, lower quality vehicle, the constant trips to the repair shop would only add to their already high stress level.

Now, some may wonder why a high school student would need a Mercedes. Although they probably won't have the intense workload or everyday stresses of a college student, having this type of car could prove beneficial to them as well their parents.

High school years are some of the most uncomfortable and troublesome time for many students. They are constantly dealing with peer pressure along with the threat of being bullied or teased. Having a vehicle they can be proud of would only help to improve their experience. However, being teased about your car could be a blow to their self-esteem. I know some may think this is shallow thinking, but bullying is becoming an extreme and deadly problem in today's society. Many kids are teased for things 1961 far less than a car and even that has a horribly negative impact on them. The idea is, having one less thing to be bullied or feel insecure about can only work for their good. This isn't to say that this will solve all of their self-esteem or self-confidence issues, but there isn't much reason to believe that it couldn't help them.

Lastly, a Mercedes would be a great investment for parents. As opposed to other vehicle types, they'd be able to get a much better return if they were to sell the car. Of course, they most likely paid a good amount for it, but with some least expensive cars, they'd probably almost have to give it away because of how much value the car would lose. Therefore, a Mercedes for a young person might not be such a bad idea.
